What is UPTC?

Great Neck's United Parent-Teacher Council (“UPTC”) serves as a coordinating body for all of the PTAs and PTOs in order to identify common interests and achieve shared goals.
Founded in 1943, the UPTC was established by a group of Great Neck parents who believed that regular meetings of PTA representatives and the District Superintendent could benefit the education of children in the community.
For nearly 80 years, the UPTC has served as a clearinghouse for important and useful educational ideas, as well as a coordinating body for parent action, and as a stimulus to local PTA/PTO and general community activities in the interests of better education across the Great Neck peninsula.
